Mouth Guards

Why wear a mouth guard
In Ireland every year about 10,000 children under the age of 12, damage one or more of their front permanent teeth. This damage can range from a small chip, to severe fracture of the front tooth and in some cases the tooth can be knocked out completely.

How effective are mouth guards
Studies in USA and Canada have shown with the compulsory wearing of mouth guards in sports such as ice hockey dramatic decreases in the annual rate of dental injuries.

Custom made mouth guards
These have been shown to provide the highest level of protection. They are constructed to fit the exact shape of the mouth, resulting in a guard that is stronger and is a good fit which makes breathing and swallowing easier.
